We are partnering with a well‑established UK food manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance, food safety and compliance within a high‑volume production environment. This is a hands‑on factory role that is critical to maintaining quality excellence, regulatory compliance and internal standards.
The Role
Reporting into the senior management team, the Quality Manager will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of quality systems on site, ensuring products meet customer, legal and certification requirements while supporting efficient factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain site food safety and quality systems in line with BRCGS, HACCP and UK food legislation
- Lead internal and external audits, including customer and third‑party inspections
- Oversee quality assurance activities across production, intake, processing and dispatch
- Manage non‑conformances, complaints, investigations and corrective actions
- Ensure effective traceability, specifications and product release processes
- Lead, coach and develop the QA team to drive a strong food safety and quality culture
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a Quality Manager or Senior QA role within food manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of BRCGS standards, HACCP and food safety legislation
- Experience in high‑care or high‑risk manufacturing environments preferred
- Confident communicator able to work effectively with production and senior stakeholders
- Hands‑on, detail‑focused and solutions‑driven
