Responsibilities:
- Leading role in overseeing the implementation of packaging equipment and technology, utilising industry standards and engineering tools/principles.
- Managing all phases of technical packaging projects.
- Ensure projects are implemented and delivered from initial conception through to installation, commissioning and final handover.
- Budget Management.
- Site Management – at the appropriate time in the project the engineer's duties will require them to be site based and carry out the management/coordination of suppliers during the installation/commissioning phase of the project.
- Ensure compliance with legislation including CDM, Machinery Directive & PUWER.
Qualifications:
- System design & project delivery experience from within the FMCG (brewing/food/drink/pharmaceutical/Packaging) industry.
- Strong understanding of packaging machines, not required to design but competent in understanding designs and supporting clients in bringing requirements to life.
- Can be a couple of years in or a PM/Principal Engineer level, looking for someone with the passion for this industry and its machinery.
- Willing to travel as and when required for the role.
- Relevant Engineering Qualifications & preferred Project Management Qualifications.
