This is a hands-on, technically focused role within an electronic engineering environment supporting the development of advanced PCB and electronic manufacturing technologies used in complex, safety-critical products.
About the Role
You will work closely with senior technical specialists across engineering and manufacturing functions, contributing to the evaluation, qualification, and continuous improvement of PCB fabrication and circuit card assembly processes. The role offers exposure to both UK and international technology and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the development, evaluation, and introduction of new PCB and circuit card assembly processes and equipment
- Working with internal manufacturing teams and external PCB suppliers, including UK and international site visits
- Assessing PCB fabrication and assembly processes through laboratory and production-based investigations
- Understanding and advising on materials, characteristics, and manufacturing methods for electronics operating in harsh environments
- Supporting the creation, deployment, and maintenance of documented standards and agreed methodologies
- Participating in component- and board-level failure analysis and technical investigations
- Providing technical support to multiple engineering programmes across the business
Qualifications
A solid understanding of PCB design, fabrication, and circuit card assembly technologies.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams

Pay range and compensation package
- Bonus: Up to £2,500 annually (based on company performance)
- Pension: Up to 14% total contribution
