Quality Engineer β Manufacturing
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: Β£45,000 per annum
We are working with a well-established manufacturing organisation based in Portsmouth who are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team. This role would suit a hands-on Quality Engineer who enjoys working closely with production and engineering teams to drive quality standards and continuous improvement across the business.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and improving quality systems within a manufacturing environment
- Investigating non-conformances and leading root cause analysis using recognised tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, etc.)
- Supporting internal and external audits
- Working cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting supplier quality activities where required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role within manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of quality tools and methodologies
- Experience with ISO quality management systems (ISO 9001 or similar)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across departments
- A proactive, detail-focused approach and willingness to be present on the shop floor
