This is a hands-on HR Administrator position in a fast-moving logistics environment, where no two days look the same and your work really makes a difference. You will be right at the heart of the employee journey, supporting everything from hiring new starters to payroll admin, training coordination and employee engagement. You will work closely with operational teams, be trusted with responsibility, and have plenty of opportunity to grow your HR skills along the way.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day hiring activity by advertising roles, coordinating interview schedules and acting as a point of contact for candidates.
  • Prepare employment documentation and ensure all new starter information is completed, checked and stored correctly.
  • Oversee joining and leaving processes, making sure employees have a smooth experience and records remain accurate.
  • Maintain and update employee information within HR systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Provide administrative support across pay and benefits, including updating changes and assisting with pre-payroll checks.
  • Help ensure payroll information is accurate by reviewing and validating data ahead of submission.
  • Assist with the organisation of training sessions, development activity and internal workshops.
  • Keep training and compliance records up to date, including refresher dates and completion tracking.
  • Get involved in people-focused initiatives, including engagement activities and internal events.
  • Manage HR records and trackers for reporting and audit purposes.
  • Act as a friendly first point of contact for HR-related questions from employees and managers.
  • Support the administration of employee relations activity, ensuring processes are followed and documented correctly.

Skills & Experience

  • CIPD qualification is desirable but not required.
  • Experience in an HR Administrator or HR support role is required.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  • Confident communicator who enjoys working with people at all levels.
  • Highly organised with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Proactive, customer-focused and keen to keep learning.

Salary & Working model

  • Salary: £27,000 - £28,500
  • Working model: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm (flexible) this is a fully onsite role.
