The Advert
Our client is one of the world's leading manufacturers of specialist Material Handling Equipment. If you are a new business focused Area Sales Manager based in the North East, looking for a new challenge with a genuine career changing employer then this could be the role for you!
The Role
- Your role is to sell the company's manufactured range of Material Handling Equipment, which includes Fork Lift Trucks, Pallet Stackers, Order Pickers, Specialist Narrow Aisle Trucks and Pallet Trucks.
- Field/Home based covering the following postcodes in the North/North East - CA, SR, DH and TS.
- 70% New Business focussed and 30% Account Management focussed.
- Selling into a mixed market, this team works with customers who have up to 30 trucks, including Builders Merchants, Industrial Estates and Warehouses.
- Most clients will be purchasing this equipment on a long term hire basis of around 3-5 years, and you will be selling brand new or '2nd life' products.
- Very realistic year 1 targets; you will be expected to attend around 10 face to face/possibly virtual meetings a week with around 40 prospect calls a week.
- Excellent leads provided but you are expected to show some real new business initiative also.

The Person
- Must have field sales experience.
- Happy being new business focused.
- Ideally sold some kind of capital equipment on a lease or rental basis, although not essential.
- Very resilient/thick skinned.
- A proven track record of sales success.
- Will go the extra mile.
- Hunger, coachable, career focused, financially driven.

The Package
- Up to £40k basic dependant on experience.
- OTE £60/70k++ Uncapped and paid monthly - the best Area Sales Managers in the business earning over £100k.
- Electric or Hybrid executive level Company Car such as BMW or Audi (possibly a car allowance).
- 25 Days Holiday.
- Mobile/Lap Top.
- Company Pension of 6% from employer, 4% from employee.
