Technical Consultant (Python AWS) – Manchester / WFH

Do you have strong business acumen and client‑facing expertise combined with backend Python and AWS technical skills? You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands‑on Technical Consultant role at a technology start‑up that is producing a software suite for legal firms that massively reduces para‑legal workloads, and they have seen huge interest in the product and have a lot of greenfield development work to get stuck into.

As a Technical Consultant you will collaborate closely with clients, taking ownership of client bespoke end‑to‑end projects with a focus on building cloud‑based applications and systems using Python and AWS. You\’ll work independently across the full development lifecycle – from requirements through to technical decisions – and will see the results of your work quickly.

Location / WFH

You’ll join a small but growing team based in Central Manchester three days a week with flexibility to work from home the other two days. Please note you will occasionally need to visit client sites and will need your own car.

About you

• You have experience of working directly with clients and taking ownership of client bespoke development work
• You have full software development lifecycle experience including requirements gathering, with a sales‑engineer type mindset
• You have strong Python backend development skills
• You have experience with AWS
• You have good business acumen, ideally with experience of working in start‑ups or SMEs
• You are degree educated in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline
• You have your own car and a valid driving licence
• You have a notice period of one month or less
