Java Full Stack Developer β Contract | Banking Client | Manchester (Hybrid)
Duration: 6β12 months | Inside IR35
Location: Manchester (Hybrid β 2β3 days onsite)
We are partnering with a leading consultancy supporting a major banking client and are looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to join a 6β12 month programme. This role is ideal for a senior developer with strong Java/Spring Boot experience, cloud exposure, and hands-on full stack development experience in an enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead development efforts and manage delivery of complex projects
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot
- Work across the full technology stack including front-end frameworks (React/Angular)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions across RDBMS platforms (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
- Apply strong object-oriented programming and data structure principles
- Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to prioritize tasks and ensure timely delivery
Required Skills & Experience
- 9+ years as a Development Lead or Senior Developer in Java/Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong expertise in Data Structures, OOP, and relational databases
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and deliver complex projects
- Exposure to front-end frameworks such as React or Angular
- Previous experience in Financial Services is preferred but not mandatory
