A leading UK-based space and satellite communications organisation is looking for a Space Segment Verification & Satellite DSP Lead to support a high-profile geostationary satellite communications programme. This is a senior technical assurance role, providing independent oversight to a government client on the design, verification, and delivery of a complex space system.
What You’ll Do
- Provide independent technical assurance of space segment delivery
- Lead acceptance and verification of space and system-level requirements
- Review supplier verification evidence and manage technical reviews
- Assess and report technical and programme risks
- Provide oversight of firmware, FPGA, and DSP-heavy digital hardware development
- Act as a technical authority, challenging suppliers where required
About You
- Experienced systems engineer with knowledge of satellite systems, DSP, or payload design
- Strong background in firmware, FPGAs, digital hardware, or DSP applications (e.g. Modems, digital RF, radar)
- Confident communicator, able to engage technical experts and non-specialists alike
- Experience with government or defence programmes desirable
- Eligible for UK security clearance
- Willing to travel occasionally to client and supplier sites
