The primary role of the Test Manager will be to coordinate and provide oversight over the testing process in its entirety for large and medium initiatives and ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide assurance over the end-to-end testing process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and processes for projects.
- Ensure test coverage and traceability.
- Collaborate with developers, IT Quality Assurance Engineers, product managers, domain owners and other stakeholders to define quality goals and success/sign-off criteria.
- Oversee the creation and execution of test cases, scripts, and scenarios.
- Iteratively coordinate UAT with the business, as well as end-to-end testing at the conclusion of a project.
- Work closely with engineering to ensure that appropriate consideration and testing is considered for OAT, NFT and DR testing.
- Compile test evidence and test results across all areas.
- Report on test progress, metrics, and quality status to stakeholders.
- Coordinate defect management process.
Required Experience / Qualifications
- Significant experience running large testing implementations and coordinating testing processes across major programmes.
- Significant experience in software testing, including leadership experience.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is essential.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Have experience in Insurance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB or equivalent certification.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience in performance and security testing.
- Familiarity with automation tools - e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG – beneficial but not essential.
