Looking for Structural Engineers — we are currently working with a well-known multidisciplinary engineering consultancy specialising in architecture, engineering and construction services. Our client is looking for skilled Structural Design Engineers to join the team where fully remote working on competitive market rates can be offered. This contract will involve design across several data centre projects in Europe and the US. Hourly rates Outside IR35 (large rate variation depending on experience). 1 day required in London, Manchester or Glasgow per week.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyse structural systems that meet regulations, using appropriate materials and CAD software for simulations.
- Monitor project progress, conduct site inspections, and ensure contractor work meets structural standards.
- Construct reports, drawings, and calculations using software such as Tekla, ETABS, or Revit.
- Work collaboratively with architects, engineers and other professionals, and provide technical advice throughout the project.
- Manage planning applications and ensure compliance with building regulations.
Requirements
- Structural design experience across steel structures. Data centre experience is preferred.
- Proficient in structural analysis and design software, such as Revit, Robot, Tekla, and STAAD.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred), with proven experience working on projects linked to this field.
- Senior applicants must have, or be eligible for, security clearance.
- Strong communication skills for client facing environments.
- Chartered or working towards chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
