There is a permanent opportunity for you here as a Data Centre Site Manager to join one of our new data centres in the Hayes, West London area.
The Role
- Lead, coach and support team members within the function.
- Effectively manage team members from entry to exit.
- Maintain and conduct effective quarterly and annual performance reviews with team members in line with the HR strategy.
- Develop individuals to achieve the required accreditations and standards.
- Identify, monitor and maintain resources required within the data centre maintenance team.
- Own, monitor and manage PPM and reactive maintenance tasks (requests, incidents, changes, problems and project-related work) and ensure they are appropriately owned and communicated to our Client.
- Manage, monitor and review the systems, processes and tools required within the function to enable an efficient and consistent service in conjunction with the Dalkia Account Manager and Site Supervisors.
- Maintain good practice within the function and lead improvements within the function in terms of services, systems, processes and tools.
- Act as the escalation point for data centre maintenance-related enquiries and co‐ordinate resolution and communication.
- Ensure excellent customer service is demonstrated and embedded within the team.
- Liaise and co‐operate with management in achieving the organisational goals.
- Ensure the implementation of best practices and compliance with internal procedures, routines and protocol including security, safety and regulatory.
Operational
- Maintain the integrity of our Client's Data Centre in Hayes.
- Manage the building M&E infrastructure including physical security, power management, air conditioning/cooling, fire detection/suppression and the Building Management System (BMS).
- Ensure the necessary processes and procedures exist for PPM and reactive maintenance are best practices within the data centre environment.
- Be responsible for the development and implementation of all processes and procedures relating to working practices within the data centres, in accordance with our existing ISO and Health and Safety policies.
- Work with senior management to propose, agree and deliver best practices within the data centres.
- Work with senior management to propose, agree and deliver ongoing design, development and planning for further development and improvements of the data centre.
- Monitor and manage the permit-to-work-based process for work at the Data Centre.
- Accountable for resolving incidents relating to the M&E infrastructure to ensure the integrity of systems within the Data Centre for both Dalkia and our Client.
- Responsible for arranging the decommissioning of redundant mechanical and electrical systems as deemed necessary by the Client.
- Responsible for producing small works quotations for associated reactive maintenance work.
Hours of Work
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Qualifications and Experience Required
- Electrical NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Electrical – 18th Edition.
- Electrical Inspection and Testing.
- AP15.
- FGAS would be desirable.
- Effective people management skills from entry to exit.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to innovate, adopt and implement new ideas.
- Ability to make effective and measured decisions and implement where necessary.
