We’re seeking a skilled Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join our client's core infrastructure team working closely with engineering and support teams to deliver secure, high-performance systems.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and enhance a Linux platform supporting global trading operations
  • Partner with application and support teams to ensure a secure, scalable infrastructure
  • Design and implement automation frameworks and tooling
  • Build out monitoring and observability solutions
  • Investigate and optimise performance across systems, networks, and applications
  • Support build and release processes
  • Work within a source-controlled engineering environment

What you’ll bring:

  • Deep Linux expertise (Red Hat–based systems preferred)
  • Experience supporting large-scale and/or low-latency environments
  • Strong background in automation and configuration management (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, Splunk)
  • Exposure to build and release management pipelines
  • Programming skills in Python and Bash (C/C++ advantageous)
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols (TCP/UDP, LAN/WAN, multicast)
  • Proven ability to analyse and tune system performance
  • Comfortable working in collaborative, version-controlled teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and clear communicator
