Our client is a high growth global manufacturing company headquartered in Gloucestershire. The products are used by manufacturers in multiple industries, including aerospace, automotive and engineering.
About The Role
Reporting to the General Counsel in a small team environment based in the UK head office, we are seeking a full time Senior Legal Counsel to be part of the established legal and compliance team (Gloucestershire).
Responsibilities
- Review, draft and negotiate contracts with customers, intermediaries, and suppliers.
- Act as the primary contact for legal queries from the Purchasing team.
- Liaising with Trade Compliance & Export Control teams.
- Act as the primary contact for legal queries from Sales and Marketing teams.
- Support the business with responses to tenders and customer queries.
- Work proactively with the business to identify risks and areas for process and compliance improvement.
- Engage with and support other lawyers and compliance colleagues across the Group.
- Provide practical and commercial solutions to legal issues.
- Conduct legal research as necessary.
About You
- Have 3+ pqe
- Qualified UK Solicitor with full rights to work in the UK.
- Strong knowledge and experience working with the Manufacturing sector or other heavily regulated sector.
- Be a highly motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and a “can do” attitude.
- Have a strong commercial contracts background.
- Show an ability to prioritise and work under pressure in an evolving and dynamic business environment.
The role will require 2 office based days on a weekly basis.
