Do you enjoy building well engineered software that actually gets used? Do you like owning features end to end and solving real technical problems rather than just shipping tickets? Are you curious about AI products but happier focusing on solid engineering than building models? This role is a great fit for a full stack engineer who wants to work on a modern, high impact platform where good software design really matters.
The Opportunity
You will be joining a fast growing technology company building a production grade platform that enables advanced AI driven products. Your role is not to build the AI itself but to design and develop the software systems that allow it to run reliably, securely and at scale. This is very much a proper engineering role. You will have real ownership, influence over technical decisions and the space to build things the right way.
What You Will Be Working On
- Building and evolving backend services in Python using frameworks such as FastAPI
- Designing clean, scalable APIs used by both internal teams and external customers
- Developing intuitive and responsive user interfaces using React
- Shaping cloud infrastructure and deployment approaches
- Writing well tested, maintainable code that is built for production
- Improving reliability, performance and developer experience as the platform grows
You will work closely with AI specialists, product and design, but your focus will always be on strong software engineering fundamentals.
About You
You are a confident full stack engineer who enjoys understanding how systems fit together and takes pride in the quality of what you build. You will likely have experience with:
- Python in a backend environment using FastAPI, Flask or Django
- React or a modern JavaScript framework on the frontend
- API design and integration
- Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure
- Testing, code quality and production readiness
- Collaborating with engineers, product and design teams
It would be great if you also have experience with:
- CI and CD pipelines
- Docker or container based deployments
- Contributing to architectural discussions on scaling systems
These are not essential but nice to have.
What You Will Get
- The chance to work on a genuinely interesting and modern product
- Real ownership of features from idea through to production
- A strong engineering culture that values clean code and learning
- Hybrid working with a collaborative Oxfordshire based team
- Salary between £40,000 and £80,000 depending on experience
- A supportive environment where your technical input is valued
Diversity and Inclusion
Our client believes diverse teams build better software. They welcome applications from all backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every requirement. Curiosity, care and a willingness to learn matter just as much as ticking boxes.
