My client is currently looking for a Project Controls Manager to join a long-term nuclear infrastructure programme based in London. You will be the bridge between the planning team and the senior stakeholders, ensuring the Earned Value (EV) actually makes sense and the critical path is realistic.
Responsibilities
- System Setup: Ownership of the full controls environment (Scope, Cost, Schedule, Risk) specifically for nuclear work packages.
- Team Lead: Managing a mixed team of P6 planners, cost engineers, and risk analysts across different workstreams.
- Baselining: Setting up project baselines and keeping a tight grip on EVM (Earned Value) to ensure we are actually measuring progress, not just activity.
- Reporting: Turning SPI/CPI data and variance analysis into something the Board can actually use to make decisions.
- Financials: Managing the "forecast vs. Actuals," budgeting, and resource loading through the full project lifecycle.
- Stakeholder Management: Acting as the link between Engineering, Procurement, and Construction to make sure the data flow is accurate.
- Troubleshooting: Spotting trends or slippage early and coming to the table with a recovery plan, not just the bad news.
- Governance: Making sure the project sticks to nuclear-specific codes and the client’s internal governance.
- Process Improvement: Not just following the process, but identifying where we can sharpen our tools or reporting methods.
What we’re looking for
- Ideally has Nuclear experience but not a requirement.
- P6 & EVM: You should be familiar with Primavera P6 and have a solid track record of delivering Earned Value on £50m+ packages.

- Clearance: Active SC Clearance is a bonus.

- Rate: £550 per day (Inside IR35).
- Location: London (3 days in office / 2 remote).
