Role Overview
The Principal – Organisational Design is a senior delivery and advisory role, accountable for leading complex organisation design and operating model engagements and acting as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders. Principals combine deep OD expertise with strong delivery leadership, owning significant client engagements or workstreams, shaping solutions, and ensuring consistently high-quality outcomes. The role also plays a key part in developing OD capability and talent across the Consulting business.
Key Responsibilities
- Organisation Design Leadership: Lead complex organisation design and operating model engagements or major workstreams. Shape OD approaches aligned to client strategy, context, and operating environment. Lead the design of organisational structures, governance models, roles, and accountabilities. Ensure OD solutions are practical, evidence-based, and implementable.
- Client Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, including Executive and HR leaders. Lead senior-level workshops, design forums, and decision-making sessions. Support clients in navigating complex organisational trade-offs and change implications. Partner with Senior Principals on overall client relationship management.
- Delivery Oversight & Quality: Own delivery quality, rigour, and outcomes across OD engagements. Provide oversight, challenge, and guidance to Associate Principals and Consultants. Ensure consistent application of Korn Ferry methodologies and intellectual property. Identify and proactively manage delivery risks and dependencies.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop OD consultants across multiple engagements. Provide clear direction, feedback, and role modelling. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture within project teams.
- Capability & Practice Development: Contribute to the development of OD capability, tools, and propositions. Share learning and best practice across the Consulting community. Support internal initiatives that strengthen Korn Ferry's Organisational Design offering.

- Background in consulting or senior in-house OD / transformation roles.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
