Overview: Pre-Sales Consultant - Tax Technology — London / Hybrid (2-3 days per week in office). Up to £70,000 basic | Bonus + strong benefits package.
The Role: As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you'll act as the technical and functional expert within enterprise sales cycles. Support new business opportunities by delivering bespoke product demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concepts. Translate complex tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements into clear, compelling solution narratives. Partner closely with Account Directors on RFPs, RFIs, and enterprise sales cycles (3-6 months). Engage senior stakeholders including Heads of Tax and CFOs. Demonstrate the value of tax automation, regulatory reporting, and digital tagging solutions. Help bridge the gap between sales and delivery to ensure successful onboarding and long-term success. This is a non-quota-carrying role, focused on deal quality, solution fit, and client confidence.

Founded in 2009, the business supports over 1,000 customers, with approximately 65% of the FTSE 250 using at least one of its platforms. The organisation has recently undergone a commercial reset under new leadership and is now investing heavily in building a best-in-class sales and pre-sales function. The culture is described as high-performance but genuinely collaborative - smart people, low ego, and leadership that gives autonomy and support in equal measure. With scaling revenue, strong customer retention, and ambitious growth plans, this is a business with real momentum.
The Package: Basic Salary: Up to £70,000. Bonus: Performance-based (quarterly / annual). Benefits: 5% pension match, Private healthcare, £125 per month gym allowance, Enhanced maternity & paternity leave, Laptop & mobile phone, Sabbatical option after 5 years, Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays + additional wellbeing half-days. The Candidate: We're looking for a confident, client-facing specialist who has:
- Background in tax technology, accounting systems, or consulting, ideally from tax advisory, or tax tech environments.
- A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA (strongly preferred).
- Experience working in pre-sales, solutions consulting, or technical advisory roles.
- The ability to simplify complex tax and regulatory concepts for senior commercial audiences.
- Strong presentation skills and confidence engaging CFO-level stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset and comfort working in fast-moving enterprise sales environments.
