We are partnered with a leading UK-based principal contractor in the construction and engineering industry, known for delivering complex infrastructure and built environment projects, and they are looking for a Preconstruction Sustainability Manager to join them. This is your opportunity to lead from the front, driving innovation, embedding circular economy principles, and shaping the future of sustainable development across the UK at the earliest and most influential stage of construction projects.
You will be the lead person for all things environmental and sustainability during preconstruction, but you won’t be alone. You will be supported by a collaborative network of business development, carbon, sustainability, and environmental specialists who are just as passionate as you are.
What You’ll Be Doing- Be the Sustainability Strategist - Lead the integration of circular economy principles and sustainability goals into preconstruction planning, design, and procurement.
- Champion Green Innovation - Conduct audits and material inventories to identify opportunities for reuse, recycling, and carbon reduction.
- Shape the Future of Construction - Influence tenders and client proposals with compelling sustainability documentation and insights.
- Drive Compliance & Excellence - Ensure alignment with UK regulations, BREEAM, LEED, WELL, and client expectations.
- Collaborate & Inspire - Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote sustainable procurement and responsible sourcing.
- Circular Economy Specialist - Skilled in site surveys, material tracking, and feasibility analysis for reuse and recycling.
- Regulations & Standards Guru - Deep knowledge of UK sustainability standards, planning processes, and environmental regulations.
