Company: My company is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation, and an international track record of achievement within a broad range of sectors including marine, luxury hotels, prime residential, and commercial.
Role: We are seeking an experienced MEP Manager to oversee the mechanical, electrical, and public health elements of high-end joinery and interior fit-out projects. The role will involve a blend of working from home, attending sites across the UK, and occasional international travel to support project delivery.
What we are looking for: The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience managing MEP services within the interior fit-out industry, along with a third-level qualification in building services engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering, or a related discipline. You will have excellent technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of design coordination, commissioning, and compliance. Experience in marine fit-out projects is desirable but not essential.
Main duties:
- Manage the successful delivery of MEP works within high-end joinery and fit-out projects.
- Oversee MEP design coordination, ensuring integration with architectural and joinery elements.
- Ensure all safety, health, environment, and quality matters are fully compliant with statutory, legal, and company requirements.
- Develop MEP budgets, monitor costs, and ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Manage relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Review and manage contractual requirements relating to MEP works.
- Lead the commissioning and handover process for all MEP systems.
- Proactively identify opportunities for value engineering without compromising quality.
