An elite global law firm is seeking a proactive and highly organised Marketing & Business Development (MBD) Executive to join its London office. With a strong international footprint and a reputation for excellence across a wide range of practice areas, the firm advises leading public and private sector clients on complex, high-value matters around the world. The MBD Executive will work closely with Marketing & Business Development Managers and partners to deliver a wide range of activities that support the firm's strategic objectives.
Responsibilities- Business Development & Strategy: Supporting the development and execution of practice-level marketing and BD plans aligned with wider office objectives. Coordinating and producing tailored pitches, credential statements, client presentations and other marketing materials, advising fee earners on best practice and content. Maintaining and enhancing representative matters, deal lists and client/industry information, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across databases. Conducting research on clients, prospects, competitors and market trends to support BD initiatives, proposals and strategic targeting.
- Communications & PR: Identifying and developing opportunities to raise the profile of the London office, its lawyers and practice areas through events, sponsorships, media activity and thought leadership. Managing updates to web and print collateral, including biographies and practice brochures, ensuring materials remain current and fit for purpose. Contributing to internal communications, including newsletters, intranet content and office-wide initiatives. Coordinating client mailings, alerts and event invitations using relevant marketing systems. Managing legal directory and award submissions, seeking opportunities to enhance rankings and visibility. Liaising with external PR teams on announcements, deal highlights, awards and speaking opportunities.
- Events: Assisting with the planning and delivery of client seminars, receptions and other marketing events, including invitation management, on-the-day support, ROI tracking and follow-up.
- Marketing Infrastructure: Acting as a champion for the firm's CRM system, ensuring effective use across practice groups and supporting London marketing objectives.
- Other: Supporting additional marketing and BD initiatives as required in line with business needs.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- At least three years' experience in a professional services environment, ideally within an international law firm.
- Strong experience coordinating multi-jurisdictional and multi-practice proposals, including RFPs and panel submissions.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (InterAction experience preferred) and deal databases.
- A proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders, with the resilience to challenge and influence where needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to work independently when required.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
