We are supporting a fast-growing clean energy company at the forefront of green hydrogen infrastructure, now looking to appoint a Legal Counsel as it enters its next phase of development and European expansion. The business develops, owns and operates full-value-chain hydrogen projects from early-stage site development and permitting through to construction, financing, long-term offtake structures and ongoing operations. Their projects often integrate hydrogen with wind or solar, providing zero-emission energy solutions to hard-to-decarbonise sectors.
The role involves reporting directly into the General Counsel, offering broad exposure across the full project lifecycle. Key areas include:
- Drafting and negotiating project development agreements
- Supporting land, grid, construction and procurement workstreams
- Advising on commercial partnerships and long-term offtake structures
- Regulatory, permitting and stakeholder engagement
- Working closely with multidisciplinary project teams as schemes progress toward FID and delivery
The candidate should be a commercially minded junior lawyer (1β2 PQE) with experience in energy, infrastructure, projects or construction. Exposure to development-stage or delivery-stage assets is highly advantageous, as is an interest in emerging clean energy technologies. Based in central London with hybrid working practices (3 days onsite), the role offers variety, breadth and the chance to make a real impact.
