Power engineering consultancy requires an HV Design Engineer with control and protection design experience to work on a hybrid / remote basis.

Responsibilities

  • Design, specify, and configure protection schemes and control systems (e.g., relays, PLCs, SCADA) to ensure safe and reliable operation of power system assets.
  • Produce detailed engineering deliverables, including protection studies, logic diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and settings calculations in compliance with applicable standards.
  • Review, test, and commission control and protection equipment through factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and on-site commissioning activities.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, support operations and maintenance teams, and ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and client requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Previous experience in HV protection design is required, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD.
