An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Planner to join a highly respected, independent wealth management and financial planning firm. This well-established practice has built an outstanding reputation for providing exceptional financial planning and investment management solutions to private clients. The firm specialises in long-term investment management, retirement planning, generating income from assets, and financial protection. As Financial Planner, you will work directly with clients to provide expert financial advice tailored to their individual needs and circumstances. You will build long-term relationships and work within an established team of experienced Financial Planners, supported by Paraplanners and Administrators.
Responsibilities
- Managing client relationships from initial enquiry through to ongoing reviews
- Providing holistic financial planning advice across investments, pensions, retirement planning and protection
- Conducting client meetings (face-to-face and virtually) and preparing suitable recommendations
- Reviewing and implementing portfolio changes in line with agreed processes
- Ensuring all client documentation is accurate, compliant and up to date
- Working collaboratively with Paraplanners and Administrators to deliver exceptional client outcomes
- Generating new business through networking and referrals
- Contributing to the firm's development through internal training and knowledge sharing
What’s Required
Essential:
- Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
- Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a financial planning role
- Strong technical knowledge across investments, pensions, protection and FCA regulations
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Chartered status or working towards advanced qualifications
- Experience of networking and generating new business
- Ability to deliver training and mentor junior team members
