Hybrid and site-based role, part of the Strategic Group CAPEX Function. Job Type: Permanent, multi-site scope with some travel. Location: Buckinghamshire area, commutable from Northants, South Midlands, Oxfordshire, etc. Client: Category market leader in FMCG manufacturing with factories globally. Central Strategic Projects function.
You will help deliver CAPEX and asset improvement projects on an investment programme – multi-million CAPEX across multiple sites in the local area.
Responsibilities- Responsible for managing the planning and implementation of capital and revenue projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget.
- Cover supplier selection, financial control and customer acceptance; own factory equipment and structures, including packaging, processing and utilities.
- Report directly to the Head of UK Engineering with autonomy to deliver pragmatic, value-engineered projects to cost and time specifications.
- Coach, mentor and develop multi-functional teams of engineers and designers/contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Procure equipment through internal and external resourcing functions.
- Lead engineering and production teams during equipment installation and start-up, supplier selection, feasibility and justification analysis, equipment commissioning and FAT.
- Graduate calibre within an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Chemical).
- Previous experience in an engineering Project Management role.
- Experience with CAPEX investments, manufacturing, time-sensitive and fast-paced environments; FMCG experience preferred (ideally beverages, food).
- Methodical and detailed worker, achievement-oriented and capable of working in a direct and often pressurised environment.
