As part of the Data Architecture team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-level data models that power advanced analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives. You'll lead the creation of frameworks and standards, ensuring consistency and excellence across all data projects while engaging with senior stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
As a Data Modeller, you will be involved in the following activities:
- Designing and implementing both relational (3NF) and dimensional (star/snowflake) data models for large-scale financial systems and analytical platforms.
- Working hands-on with ETL design, metadata management, and data cataloguing, ensuring robust data lineage and governance.
- Building standards and frameworks that define how data is structured and managed across multiple platforms.
- Collaborating closely with architects, data engineers, and analytics teams to ensure data models align with business and technical goals.
- Leveraging tools such as ERWin, Sparx, RSA, Visio, and handling semi-structured data formats (JSON, XML, Parquet).
The successful Data Modeller will have the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in data modelling within consulting or financial services environments.
- Strong expertise in ERWin (or equivalent tools such as Sparx, RSA, Visio).
- Hands-on experience with relational and dimensional modelling methodologies.
- Understanding of ETL frameworks, metadata management, and data governance principles.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to senior stakeholders in client-facing settings.
Salary: depends on seniority and experience criteria
- £50,000-£67,000 for Mid-Level
- £70,000–£88,000 for Senior level
Hybrid working model – 3 days per week onsite in London, both in office and with client engagements
