Contracts Manager – Specialist Petrol Forecourts Contractor (Nationwide)

Please note this role requires travel across the UK to multiple sites, including 2 days in the office per month.

My Client is a highly respected specialist contractor within the petrol forecourts sector, seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality projects and contribute to the continued success of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of petrol forecourt and associated civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to handover.
  • Coordinate site operations, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet programme, budget, and quality targets.
  • Ensure strict compliance with petroleum industry regulations, health & safety standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Act as the main point of contact for forecourt clients, maintaining strong relationships and providing exceptional service.
  • Provide leadership and support to project teams, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Manage project financials, variations, and reporting, ensuring profitability and commercial control.
  • Conduct regular site visits across the UK to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience within a civil engineering contractor (essential).
  • Proven track record managing multiple contracts successfully, ideally within the petrol forecourts, highways, or related infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of NEC/JCT contracts and commercial management.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and client-facing skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites nationwide.
  • Full UK driving licence.
