We are hiring a Certification Assessor (PPE) in Kettering, Northamptonshire (UK). This is a full-time position with 37.5 hours per week and a salary of up to £29,000 DOE.
An established, accredited certification organisation is looking for a Certification Assessor to join its PPE Certification team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly regulated environment, assessing products against UK and EU PPE Regulations and supporting manufacturers in achieving CE and UKCA marking.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out certification assessments of PPE in line with relevant standards and regulations
- Interpreting PPE performance standards and regulatory requirements
- Reviewing technical documentation and preparing draft certification documentation
- Communicating with clients on certification processes, requirements, and progress
- Collaborating with internal certification and quality teams
- Attending external technical meetings and contributing to standards activity where required
About You:
Essential:
- Broad technical background with strong attention to detail
- Logical, methodical approach and ability to work independently
- Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills
- Experience working with customers or external stakeholders
- Confident using Microsoft Office
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to travel (UK and internationally)
Desirable:
- Science-based degree or equivalent
- Experience in a test laboratory or regulated technical environment
- Knowledge of PPE, CE or UKCA marking, or European legislation
- Additional language skills
