This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Underwriter currently based in London, with a background in General Liability, to relocate to Dubai and join a dynamic and supportive team. The role has been newly created by a well-established insurer that is building out an international division, with Casualty next on their agenda. They have the reinsurance, product, and wordings in place, so you will focus on marketing, developing relationships with brokers outside of Dubai (all the major underwriting hubs including London), which will involve global travel and underwriting of new risks.
Responsibilities
- Market and develop relationships with brokers outside of Dubai (including London and other major underwriting hubs).
- Underwrite new risks and manage a portfolio within the international division.
- Travel globally as needed to support business development and underwriting activities.
Qualifications
- Underwriter currently based in London with a background in General Liability.
- Willingness to relocate to Dubai and operate within an international division.
- Experience in marketing and developing relationships with brokers (external to Dubai).
