Peaple Talent has exclusively partnered with a renewables energy supplier who is recruiting for a Business Development Manager with a proven track record in new business development and fullâcycle sales within the Solar industry or similar applicable industries such as Energy, engineering or construction. You will be driving and developing longâterm customer relationships to support the company's growth across the commercial solar sector. Hybrid role with regular visits to the Warwickshire office.
Salary: ÂŁ50,000 â ÂŁ70,000 per annum + commission
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities from initial engagement through to contract award.
- You will act as an ambassador for the organisation, lead client conversations, qualify opportunities and position tailored solar solutions.
- New Business Acquisition: Proactively identify, research, and engage potential customers, sectors, and routes to market.
- Lead Generation & Qualification: Build and maintain a strong earlyâstage pipeline through networking, outreach, referrals, and industry events.
- Consultative Sales: Lead customer conversations to understand customer needs and map them to tailored solar PV and energy solutions.
- FullâCycle Opportunity Management: Manage opportunities from first contact through proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Commercial Engagement: Run client meetings, prepare and present proposals and business cases, and lead commercial negotiations.
- Market Intelligence: Maintain awareness of industry trends, financing models, competitor offerings, and regulatory drivers that influence customer decisionâmaking.
- CRM and Reporting: Maintain accurate and upâtoâdate records of sales activity, opportunity progress, and forecasts within the CRM system.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with project development, technical, and delivery teams to ensure proposals align with delivery capability and client expectations.
Benefits:
- ÂŁ50-70k Basic Salary + benefits
- Commission package â based on personal and company performance targets (agreed following successful completion of probation)

- 20 days Holiday per annum â plus all recognised English bank holidays.
- 5 days Christmas holiday bonus per annum â must be saved and used for the festive period.
- Birthday bonus â Additional day annual leave on your birthday if it falls on a weekday.
