Peaple Talent have exclusively partnered with a renewables energy supplier who are recruiting for a Business Development Manager who has a proven track record in new business development and full-cycle sales within the Solar industry and/or similar applicable industries e.g. Energy, engineering or construction. You will be driving and developing long term customer relationships contributing to the company’s growth across the commercial solar sector.

Role details: Hybrid role with regular visits to the Warwickshire office. £50,000 - £70,000pa + commission.

Responsibilities:
  • New Business Acquisition: Proactively identify, research, and engage potential customers, sectors, and routes to market.
  • Lead Generation & Qualification: Build and maintain a strong early-stage pipeline through networking, outreach, referrals, and industry events.
  • Consultative Sales: Lead customer conversations to understand customer needs and map them to tailored solar PV and energy solutions.
  • Full-Cycle Opportunity Management: Manage opportunities from first contact through proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Commercial Engagement: Run client meetings, prepare and present proposals and business cases, and lead commercial negotiations.
  • Market Intelligence: Maintain awareness of industry trends, financing models, competitor offerings, and regulatory drivers that influence customer decision-making.
  • CRM and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity, opportunity progress, and forecasts within the CRM system.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with project development, technical, and delivery teams to ensure proposals align with delivery capability and client expectations.
