Overview
Assistant Manager. Premium, product-led restaurant. This is a flagship restaurant. High volume. High standards. Premium food and service. You report directly to the General Manager. You work within a leadership team of three Assistant Managers, each with a clear focus. This is a floor-first role. Around 90 percent of your time is spent in service. Guest experience drives every decision. You lead from the front. You are visible, confident and present. You set standards through action, not talk.
The role
- Lead busy services from the floor
- Own the guest journey from arrival to departure
- Drive service standards in real time
- Support, coach and challenge the front of house team
- Act as the link between front and back of house
- Protect food quality, pace and atmosphere
- Handle VIPs, regulars and complaints with confidence
- Support the GM with rotas, labour and daily operations
- Step in as lead manager when the GM is off-site
About You
- Current Restaurant Manager or strong senior manager
- Background in a premium, high-volume restaurant
- Strong floor presence and service leadership
- Obsessed with guest experience
- Clear communicator with guests and kitchen teams
- Commercially aware but never office-bound
- Confident, personable and people-led
