A growing UK renewable energy developer is looking for a Grid Engineer to support grid connections across a portfolio of BESS, solar, long‑duration storage and hybrid projects. Working closely with an experienced Grid Connections Manager, you’ll support projects from early feasibility through to pre‑energisation, gaining hands‑on exposure to DNO processes, grid applications and power systems engineering in a developer‑side environment. This role suits engineers with 1‑4 years of experience in grid, power systems or renewable energy – including those currently in consultancies looking to move in‑house.
Key focus areas
- Supporting grid connection applications (G99 / G100 / ELS)
- Reviewing DNO data, constraints and connection offers
- Assisting with site design, SLDs and technical assessments
- Coordinating with DNOs, ICPs, EPCs and consultants
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or similar
- Exposure to UK distribution or transmission networks (11–132kV)
