Your New Company is a world‑leading law firm offering an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious Newly Qualified solicitor or junior solicitor to join our highly prestigious banking and finance practice. The role is fully remote, based in the UK (excluding Northern Ireland), and will provide exposure to the highest quality banking and finance work under the mentorship of some of the sharpest lawyers in the field. Your New Role
As an NQ or junior banking and finance solicitor, you will be part of an ambitious, highly successful Finance team based in Belfast. You will work remotely from any UK address outside 100 miles of central London and collaborate closely with the London Finance Division and other finance teams across our global network. The role involves:
- Participating in high‑profile banking and finance transactions across specialist areas such as real estate finance, securitisation, energy finance and leveraged finance.
- Client‑facing engagement, building and maintaining strong relationships remotely.
- Assisting in financing deals—company searches, drafting corporate authorisations and ancillary documents, drafting security and other transaction documents, managing conditions precedent and assisting with execution at closing.
- Negotiating outsourcing projects, reviewing and negotiating banking bilateral documents, trade finance documents or NDAs on behalf of clients.
- Collaborating with other practice groups globally on projects or transactions as required.
- Supervising trainees or legal analysts on individual matters, addressing complex legal issues or as directed by Senior Solicitors, Managers or Senior Managers of the Finance practice group.
- Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant areas of law and ensuring compliance with financial disciplines such as daily time recording.

Essential
What You Need To Succeed
- A qualified solicitor in England and Wales or Northern Ireland, or common‑law jurisdictions such as the Republic of Ireland, Scotland or others (eligible for requalification if required).
- NQ‑3 years EQE, with at least a seat gained in Banking & Finance Law.
Desirable
- Experience working in a legal environment, ideally a private practice firm or in‑house.
- Knowledge and experience of Banking & Finance transactional work.
