About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Technology Architect to join our growing team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, lead architectural design, and drive technical excellence across the full software development lifecycle. You will shape solution architecture, guide development teams, ensure platform quality, and act as a key technical bridge between onshore stakeholders and offshore delivery teams. Responsibilities
- Liferay & Portal Architecture
- Lead the development of secure, reliable, high‑performing applications for Liferay DXP / Portal and REST APIs.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in coding standards, architecture, and best practices.
- Perform Liferay Portal administration including creation of Organizations, Sites, Roles, User Groups.
- Deliver configurable portal experiences tailored per user and per organization.
- Manage large‑scale portal setups with 400+ organizations/sites and high‑volume user migrations.
- Enterprise Integrations & System Architecture
- Integrate backend services using API Gateway technologies.
- Apply strong understanding of routing, load balancing, and distributed architectures.
- Configure and optimize ElasticSearch (indexing, schedulers, performance tuning).
- Develop advanced content management solutions for both authenticated and public users.
- Implement targeted content delivery strategies using Liferay’s WCM capabilities.
- Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Drive requirement analysis, technical feasibility assessments, and high‑level design.
- Provide clarifications to development teams and support offshore coordination.
- Oversee development, design, and unit testing activities.
- Ensure robust coding practices, architectural consistency, and quality standards.
- Contribute to Agile delivery and continuously uplift engineering capabilities.
- Work independently while taking full ownership of deliverables.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years Liferay DXP 7.3+ development
- 3+ years Kaleo Workflow
- 5+ years Java (strong backend engineering)
- 5+ years RESTful Web Services
- 5+ years JDBC & basic Hibernate
- 5+ years Spring (core concepts & annotations)
- Front‑end skills: HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery
- Oracle DB experience: SPs, Functions, Triggers, Cursors
- Entra / Azure AD, LDAP, SAML authentication integration
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years’ experience in Information Technology
- 5+ years hands‑on software engineering in Agile environments
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record of delivering results in complex, fast‑moving environments
- Strong communication skills across technical and business audiences
