Overview
1st Select is a specialist recruitment consultancy, founded in 2016 with our head office in Leeds. We focus on the UK building surveying market and work closely with consultancies, public sector bodies, and property organisations nationwide. We’re looking for a proactive Recruitment Resourcer to support our consultants by sourcing and qualifying Building Surveyors from Graduate/Assistant level through to Chartered (MRICS), Senior and Associate appointments. This is an office-based role from 8 Park Place, Leeds, LS1 2RU, in a team that values straight talking, high-quality service, and strong relationships (not box-ticking).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Sourcing Building Surveyors using LinkedIn, job boards, databases, referrals, and headhunting techniques
- Speaking with candidates to understand experience, motivations, location and salary expectations
- Conducting initial qualification calls and presenting strong shortlists to consultants
- Managing candidate relationships throughout the process — keeping communication clear and consistent
- Supporting the wider recruitment process: adverts, interview coordination, feedback and follow-ups
- Keeping records accurate: updating our database and ensuring right-to-work/compliance checks are completed
