We’re recruiting a Quality Control Manager to join a well established packaging artwork and reprographics agency in Leeds. This is a key role within the studio, sitting at the centre of the artwork and production process and taking ownership of quality across all packaging outputs.
This position would suit someone with a strong background in packaging artwork and repro, who understands the importance of accuracy, consistency and brand integrity, and enjoys being the final checkpoint before work goes to print.
The role involves overseeing quality standards across all packaging artwork and repro files. You’ll act as the final sign off, ensuring work is technically correct, aligned to brand guidelines, and fully production ready before release.
You’ll work closely with artworkers, repro specialists and client facing teams to review artwork, manage amends, and identify potential issues early, helping to avoid costly errors further down the line. You’ll also play an important role in refining processes, improving workflows, and embedding best practice across the studio. This is a hands on role with real responsibility and influence, rather than a purely procedural or removed QA position.
Key responsibilities:- Quality checking packaging artwork and repro files prior to print
- Ensuring artwork adheres to brand guidelines, legal requirements and technical specifications
- Acting as final sign off on files before release
- Identifying and resolving artwork and repro issues early in the process
- Supporting and advising artwork and repro teams on best practice
- Working closely with client services and production teams
- Helping to develop and improve quality control processes and workflows
- Maintaining consistently high standards across all projects
- Proven experience working with packaging artwork and reprographics
- Strong understanding of print production processes and requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to quality
- Confident challenging work and providing constructive feedback
- Comfortable taking ownership and responsibility for quality standards
- Clear communicator who works well across teams
- Experience in FMCG packaging environments is highly desirable
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the guardian of quality, wants visibility and influence within a studio, and is looking for a role with long term stability and progression within a specialist packaging environment.
