The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with a sharp eye for detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to meet both deadlines and billing targets.
Job Title – Law Costs Draftsperson
Hours – Full Time / Part Time – Flexible Hours
Location – Fully Remote
Salary – Competitive DOE

Key Responsibilities
- Drafting detailed bills of costs for a variety of cases, including:
- Personal Injury
- Industrial Disease
- Clinical Negligence
- Credit Hire
- Commercial Litigation
- Preparing schedules of costs and statements for trial
- Advising clients on cost recovery, settlement options, and technical issues (in writing or over the phone)
- Drafting and negotiating Cost Budgets, including documentation for CCMCs
- Attending CCMC/CMC hearings to advocate for budgets and directions
- Conducting file reviews and updating case progress using Proclaim
- Meeting daily chargeable time and annual billing targets
Experience Required:
- Proven experience in cost drafting, with a comprehensive understanding of various case types
- Proficiency in using a case management system and Costs Master (cost drafting software)
