Manpower Recruitment have some exciting new roles for a new environment on the edge of Oxfordshire and are looking for Kitchen Assistants. If you’re looking for a new role that gives you work life balance, career development and Christmas day off, we want to hear from you! Operating 8am-7pm and having the chance to work with a brand new, vibrant team. The role is paying £29,120 and you will be working 5/7 days per week on a rota basis. A driving licence would be needed, due to location.
Responsibilities
- As a kitchen assistant – you are effectively the engine room of the kitchen.
- Working under the guidance of the chefs, your job is to ensure that the kitchen is clean and operational.
- In some kitchens, you may also be involved in preparing ingredients, so it’s a great steppingstone to becoming a chef.
- Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
- Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately.
- Sorting, storing, and distributing ingredients.
- Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, and cooking foodstuffs and helping to prepare salads and desserts.
- Disposing of rubbish.
- Organising linen laundry.
- Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas.
