Junior RF Design Engineer – Satellite Communications
High-Frequency RF | 10GHz+ | London Area | Permanent role
Are you an early-career RF Engineer looking to deepen your experience in high-frequency and satellite communications systems? We’re exclusively partnered with a leading Satellite Communications Engineering organisation based in the London area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly capable R&D team working on next-generation RF technologies used across satellite communications, aerospace, government, marine and opto-electronic applications.
The Opportunity
As a Junior RF Design Engineer, you’ll work closely with senior and lead engineers on the design, development and testing of high-frequency RF and microwave systems (10GHz+). This role is ideal for someone who wants to build real-world engineering experience, develop strong lab skills, and contribute to full lifecycle product development.
You’ll be exposed to:
- RF and microwave circuit and system design
- Lab-based testing and measurement
- SDR concepts, RF-over-fibre and high-frequency architectures
- Supporting designs from concept through to validation and production
This is a hands-on role with strong technical mentorship and long-term development potential.
We’re Looking For:
- 2–4 years’ experience in RF / Microwave Engineering or a PhD graduate with strong practical and lab-based skills
- Degree or PhD in Electronics, RF, Microwave, Wireless Communications or similar
- Experience (academic or commercial) with RF design and testing
- Familiarity with RF measurement and test equipment such as:
- Vector Network Analysers (VNA)
- Spectrum analysers
- Signal generators
