We are looking for someone with a passion for infrastructure, ideally from an operational support services background. You will be selfâmotivated, work autonomously to achieve dayâtoâday objectives with significant results on project or operational deliverables, and own a variety of activities ensuring compliance with project milestones, customer KPIs and SLAs. You must be an effective communicator, comfortable engaging directly with customers and colleagues, and demonstrate an analytical and systematic approach to technical challenges.
Your Role And Responsibilities
- The role will provide technical exposure across both outcomesâbased project activities and operational (Business as Usual) support activities.
- Responsibilities include:
- Provide remote and onâsite support.
- Provide outâofâhours onâcall support.
- Contribute to the creation and ongoing maintenance of technical documentation to support project work or the operational support service.
Your Skills and Knowledge
- Good knowledge of virtualised environments such as VMware and HyperâV; VMware advantage.
- Knowledge of virtualised desktop environments such as Omnissa and Citrix; Omnissa advantage, further virtualised applications beneficial.
- Knowledge of Windows Server environments (2016â2025), including OS build, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and GPOs from design to implementation and support.
- Knowledge of Windows 10 & 11, including OS build and customisation.
- Linux system administration skills (Ubuntu, Rocky, RedHat), OS build and customisation.
- General knowledge of TCP/IP and networking technologies.
- General knowledge of Microsoft stack technologies such as SharePoint, Skype for Business, SQL, System Centre, Office 2024, SCCM & SCOM, Power BI, Exchange and PowerShell.
- General knowledge of NAS and SAN storage technologies, SMB/CIFS and iSCSI.
- Knowledge of twoâfactor authentication technologies.
- Some knowledge/experience with scripting.
- Analysis and problemâsolving skills, taking ownership of simple incidents to resolution for customer satisfaction.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience producing and updating technical documentation to a high standard.
- Knowledge of helpdeskâbased ticketing systems.
- ITIL3 or ITIL 4 Foundation level or above.
