We’re seeking hands-on, infrastructure-focused engineers who enjoy working across complex customer environments and delivering reliable, secure, and high-performing IT services. This fast-growing technology services provider supports customers nationwide, delivering end-to-end Managed IT, networking, and infrastructure solutions. The working environment is collaborative, technically demanding, and varied, ensuring no two days are the same.
The Role
You’ll provide high-quality technical support and engineering services within an MSP environment, working across multiple customer estates. Responsibilities will include troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving network, server, and hardware infrastructure, as well as supporting escalations and contributing to infrastructure projects. Expect exposure to diverse technologies, customer sites, and ongoing opportunities to develop your technical expertise.
About You
- Experience working in an MSP or infrastructure-focused IT support role (or strong foundational skills for entry-level candidates)
- Proven experience supporting WAN, LAN, and network infrastructure, particularly for mid-sized and enterprise customers
- A logical, methodical troubleshooter who enjoys resolving complex infrastructure issues
- Professional, approachable, and confident when engaging with customers and internal teams
- Someone who genuinely enjoys working with hardware, networks, and core IT infrastructure
Technical Skills & Experience
The role will be aligned to your experience level, with hands-on exposure to many of the following technologies:
- Networking & Infrastructure – WAN, LAN, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP
- Firewalls & Security – NAT, NAPT, port forwarding, VPNs (vendor-agnostic)
- Connectivity – Leased lines, LLU, MPLS, xDSL, failover and resilience
- Wi-Fi – 802.x standards, site surveys, analytics, performance optimisation
- Servers & Hardware – Physical and virtual servers, Windows & Linux, Active Directory, Group Policy
- Virtualisation – Hyper-V, VMware (desirable)
- Storage & Backup – On-prem and hybrid backup solutions, DR principles
- Endpoint & Device Support – Windows 10+, hardware builds, troubleshooting, peripherals
- Telephony – PBX systems, SIP trunks, call routing
- Microsoft 365 (supporting role) – User and tenant administration as part of hybrid environments
