About The Company

Our client is a leading provider of fire safety and building compliance services, primarily working with publicly owned properties. Their clients include local authorities, council housing, schools, NHS facilities, and higher education buildings.

The Role

We are recruiting for a dynamic Area Sales Manager to secure and manage large-value, long-term consultancy deals within the public sector. This is initially a senior individual contributor position that will transition into a player-manager role. You will be responsible for managing your own high-value deals while also supporting and assisting your team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development with public sector organisations (local authorities, NHS, Education, etc.).
  • Target and secure large-value, long-term contracts, and nurture client relationships.
  • Manage the sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation and close.
  • Transition into a player-manager capacity, guiding and supporting other team members in their sales efforts.
  • Maintain a presence in the field, with site visits and client meetings.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in selling statutory compliance or related services ideally within the public sector.
