Temporary Works Engineer – Energy Sector | South West England | Permanent
Are you ready to take the lead on safe, innovative, and cost-effective temporary works for one of the UK’s major energy projects? We’re looking for an experienced Temporary Works Engineer to join our client’s team in South West England on a full-time, permanent basis. This is your chance to play a critical role in shaping infrastructure, ensuring compliance with UK construction standards, and delivering technical solutions that keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Own Temporary Works Coordination – Supervise and manage all temporary works on site, ensuring compliance with procedures and safety standards.
- Design & Innovate – Create safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions to support installation activities.
- Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with site engineering, installation teams, and multi-national stakeholders.
- Drive Compliance & Safety – Maintain the Temporary Works Register, contribute to risk assessments, and uphold UK HSEQ policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in temporary works design and coordination on major construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of UK construction codes, CDM regulations, and HSEQ standards.
- Professional certifications (Temporary Works Coordinator/Designer, CSCS, SMSTS).
- Technical skills in structural design principles, AutoCAD/Tekla, and BIM tools.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The Details
- Location: South West England (site-based)
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 38 hours/week
- Clearance: Full UK working rights + SC clearance (or ability to obtain)
