As a Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in helping steer engineering projects from start to finish. From planning and design to getting things built on-site, you'll make sure everything runs smoothly, stays on budget, and hits all the right safety and quality notes. You'll be responsible for project planning, engineering design, procurement, and on-site construction support for fuel pipeline infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing
- Project Planning & Management: Oversee projects from approval to handover. Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules. Monitor budgets and staff-hours to ensure targets are met. Ensure delivery meets company standards and client expectations.
- Design: Develop engineering solutions and technical drawings to required standards. Lead design reviews and manage associated risks. Ensure compliance with company, client, national, and international standards.
- Procurement: Prepare and evaluate contract documentation. Recommend suppliers and approve payments. Track project spend and manage cost efficiency.
- Construction & Commissioning: Manage on-site construction activities and contracts. Promote and ensure high standards of health and safety. Support commissioning planning and execution.
What You'll Need
- Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Controls Engineering
- Experience in designing and developing new control systems, testing and modifying existing systems, analysing data and presenting findings in written reports.
- Experience in project delivery, with awareness of cost/time constraints, equipment procurement, and readiness to take responsibility and make informed decisions.
- Team player with good problem-solving, critical thinking, numeracy, and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
Salary
Base salary of £35,000 – £40,000
