Great opportunity to join a leading logistical organisation in their expanding DevOps team where you will be scoping, developing, and implementing new systems as well as new features on existing web and desktop applications.
Responsibilities
- Scope, develop, and implement new systems and features on web and desktop applications.
- Work with backend technologies including SQL Server, MySQL and API development; integrate 3rd party APIs and implement complex server-side logic.
- Participate in frontend development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and related frameworks; collaborate on UI/UX improvements.
- Utilise version control (Git or related technologies) and contribute to DevOps practices for CI/CD.
- Engage in agile project environments and collaborate in team and cross-functional settings.
Qualifications
- Commercial experience in backend technologies including SQL Server, MySQL & API Development.
- Experience with 3rd party API integrations and complex server-side logic.
- Frontend web development experience with HTML, CSS & JavaScript/Typescript.
- Experience with NodeJS frameworks (e.g., ReactJS, NextJS, NestJS, etc.).
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and ideally TDD or BDD development approaches.
- Understanding of DevOps tools and practices for CI/CD.
- Comfort working in an Agile environment and good interpersonal skills.
Location and Schedule
Hatfield (3 days per week) with 2 days remote. During the early stages of the role you will be in Hatfield 5 days per week for training and development.
Salary
The starting salary will be between £40,000 and £45,000 plus benefits and excellent career development prospects.
