REMUNERATION: £40,000 – £50,000. We have a unique and hugely exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Assembly Technician to join our team, and play a pivotal role in manufacturing Subtera’s products, and developing ISO9001 manufacturing processes.
Location: Harwell, Oxfordshire. The role is predominately based at our headquarters, which are within the renowned Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, in Harwell, Oxfordshire.
About the role: In this role, you will be collaborating with colleagues as part of a cross-disciplinary team and contributing to the successful delivery of projects and assembly of products.
What you’ll do:
- Manufacture and test products according to ISO9001 processes, quality standards, and specifications.
- Assemble and test systems, sub-assemblies, and related components.
- Maintain accurate records of manufacturing and test results.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of work instructions.
- Work towards quality objectives and according to company processes.
- Help to continuously improve manufacturing, and to resolve production issues.
- Maintain manufacturing cell cleanliness, safely and effectively.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including ESD, and maintain a safe working environment.
Your key skills and personal attributes:
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in testing and documentation.
- Analytical skills for interpreting test results and supporting data-driven decisions.
- Effective communication and collaboration within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues with minimal support.
- Experience in both prototype and production environments.
- Familiarity with quality assurance and testing methodologies.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Basic proficiency in CAD software and design tools (advantageous).
Essential:
- A qualification in any relevant technical discipline.
- Demonstrable experience of technical product, or subsystem, assembly.
- An understanding of working within an ISO9001 quality management system, or similar.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive, self-motivated attitude.
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
