Our client is a rapidly growing and innovative business that delivers specialist chemical and physical testing services for a wide range of clients within the Pharma, Food & Beverage, and Cosmetics industries, amongst others. Due to growth, they are now looking to hire a Trainee Technical Sales Representative to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for someone to establish themselves in the scientific sales industry and gain some brilliant training.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and nurturing sales for the business.
  • Targeting a range of specialist markets within the scientific and industrial sectors.
  • Prospecting relevant companies and approaching them in an enthusiastic and knowledgeable manner, helping them to understand the benefits of the services offered.
  • Having technical conversations with key decision makers and articulating specialist services in a manageable way for your audience.
  • Travel overseas to exhibitions and conferences.

To be considered:

  • You should hold a scientific degree, ideally Physics or Chemical Engineering related, however, we would also consider Food Science, Biology, Biochemistry, etc.
  • This is a commercially focused role, so you will need to work well with others and be confident when talking over the phone and in person.
  • Sales experience from a previous role is desired but not mandatory.
  • The ability to be energetic, enthusiastic, and have an appetite to deliver results will be hugely important.
  • A natural resilience and ability to persevere will also be highly useful.
  • You will hold a valid driver’s licence and have your own transport.

You will be rewarded with a friendly, inclusive working environment, competitive salary, and company benefits such as bonuses as well as strong progression opportunities. The company is looking to train this individual to hopefully progress to a Technical Sales Rep, and you will be provided with some great training and support. This role is mainly office-based but will have capacity to be hybrid once you have been there for a period of embedding.
