Are you a STEM Graduate who is looking for an opportunity to move away from the laboratory but still be connected to science? Are you looking to gain experience in the world of commercial sales? Our client is a rapidly growing and innovative business that delivers specialist chemical and physical testing services for a wide range of clients within the Pharma, Food & Beverage, and Cosmetics industries, amongst others. Due to growth, they are now looking to hire a Trainee Technical Sales Representative to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for someone to establish themselves in the scientific sales industry and gain some brilliant training.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and nurturing sales for the business
- Targeting a range of specialist markets within the scientific and industrial sectors
- Working with major names in the industry to prospect relevant companies and approach them in an enthusiastic and knowledgeable manner
- Having technical conversations with key decision makers and articulating specialist services in a manageable way for your audience
- Travel overseas to exhibitions and conferences
To be considered:
- You should hold a scientific degree, ideally Physics or Chemical Engineering related, however, Food Science, Biology, Biochemistry etc. will also be considered
- This is a commercially focused role, so you will need to work well with others and be confident when talking over the phone and in person
- Sales experience from a previous role is desired but not mandatory
- The ability to be energetic, enthusiastic, and have an appetite to deliver results is hugely important
- A natural resilience and ability to persevere will also be highly useful
- You will hold a valid driver's licence and have your own transport

This role is mainly office-based but will have capacity to be hybrid once you have been there for a period of embedding.
