HSSMI Consulting is recruiting two Graduate Digital Engineers to support the growth of its Digital Manufacturing and Innovation Engineering capability. This is a full‑time, entry‑level professional role designed for recent graduates who are passionate about applying digital technologies to real‑world manufacturing and industrial challenges. The successful candidates will contribute to the development and deployment of simulation‑driven, data‑connected manufacturing solutions, working alongside experienced engineers on live industrial and R&D projects. The role offers structured development, mentoring, and hands‑on project delivery experience across Digital Twins, NVIDIA Omniverse, Cyber‑Physical Systems, IIoT, AR/VR, cloud technologies, and advanced manufacturing systems.
Principal Accountabilities
- Contribute to the development, testing, and maintenance of digital twin models for manufacturing and industrial systems, including models built using NVIDIA Omniverse and related platforms.
- Apply Python and/or C++ scripting to support simulation workflows, data integration, automation, and tool development.
- Support the integration of digital models with real or simulated industrial data, gaining experience in connected and cyber‑physical systems.
- Assist in deploying and interacting with cloud‑hosted environments, developing an understanding of cloud architecture and data pipelines used in digital engineering solutions.
- Contribute to the creation of basic web‑based user interfaces and visualisations using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support digital tools and dashboards.
- Produce clear and professional technical documentation, research summaries, and internal or client‑facing presentation material.
- Work as part of multi‑disciplinary project teams, collaborating with engineers, researchers, and external partners across manufacturing, automation, and digital innovation projects.
- Participate in internal design reviews, technical workshops, and project meetings to understand full project lifecycles, delivery constraints, and stakeholder needs.
This role is suited to graduates seeking to build a career in digital engineering, simulation, systems integration, or smart manufacturing. Graduates will be exposed to a broad range of Industry 4.0 technologies while contributing to meaningful industrial and innovation‑led projects. Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BEng/BSc) or master’s degree (MEng/MSc) in Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Strong academic foundation in one or more of the following areas: Programming or software development, Systems modelling or simulation, Manufacturing systems or industrial engineering, Data analytics or computational methods.
- Demonstrable application of digital or simulation technologies through university projects, dissertations, internships, industrial placements, or personal technical projects.
- Working knowledge of Python and/or C++, with the ability to apply these languages in an engineering or analytical context.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and an analytical approach to technical challenges.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Proactive attitude, curiosity, and a willingness to learn in a fast‑paced consulting and innovation environment.

- Interest in AR/VR technologies or advanced visualisation techniques.
Graduate Development & Technical Progression
- Building, validating, and applying digital twins for manufacturing and industrial systems.
- Simulation scripting and tool development using Python and C++.
- Understanding and applying cloud‑based architectures within digital engineering solutions.
- Working with cyber‑physical systems and connected manufacturing environments.
- Developing web‑based interfaces and visualisation tools to support engineering decision‑making.
- Operating within professional project delivery environments, including technical reporting, collaboration tools, and client engagement.
- Structured mentoring and on‑the‑job learning will support the transition from graduate‑level capability to independent technical contribution.
